Jackboy Drops Album ‘Living In History’

Florida rapper, by way of Haiti, Jackboy has released his album Living In History via Empire, an offering that reflects today’s society at the height of a global pandemic and social injustice. The 14 track project is clipped with tenacious cadences and soaring melodies that take you through themes of pain, motivation, and redemption. Holding his own weight, the only guest features are Rylo Rodriguez and Tee Grizzley, the latter recently teamed up with Jackboy for the “Married To My Enemies” music video and touches on the lack of trust within your inner circle.

Living In History arrives alongside a video for “The World Is Yours,” a boasty trap record with jazz melodies. Directed by DrewFilmedIt, Jackboy shows the perks of a luxurious lifestyle as he speeds down the highway in a Lamborghini he purchased with all cash. As part of a string of rapid releases, Jackboy also dropped the visual to “P’s and Q’s” earlier this week. Born and raised in Pompano Beach, Florida, 23-year-old Jackboy is one of the South’s most promising rising rap stars. Following his standout debut album JACKBOY, which generated over 50M streams and 45M views on its videos, this new project will prove beyond a doubt that Jackboy’s breakout season has arrived.
